About The Position

Miller-Motte College, part of Ancora Education, seeks an instructor to deliver educational materials using sound educational practices that support students’ academic development. The instructor uses the educational experience to develop students’ knowledge and skills in their chosen field and help them achieve their educational and career goals. The role fosters an engaging, dynamic, student-centered environment and provides support, tutoring, and other assistance as needed. Requirements

• At least 3 years of industry experience.
• Where required, hold active certification or licensure.
• Before beginning to teach, have documented prior teaching experience or complete the new instructor training.
• Ability to qualify as an instructor under institutional and accreditation standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching in a proprietary education setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry.

Responsibilities

• Use classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged educational experience.
• Ensure students are presented with the material needed to meet the learning objectives of each course in their program of study.
• Ensure instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use, sufficient in quantity, properly maintained, and in working order.
• Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development; maintain required certification and licensure.
• Participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
