Medical Assistant
About The Position
Optima Medical is an Arizona-based medical group with 30 locations and more than 130 medical providers, serving over 200,000 patients statewide. Its mission is to improve quality of life in Arizona and Nevada through personalized healthcare focused on prevention. Services include cardiovascular and behavioral health, allergy testing and immunotherapy, in-house lab testing, imaging, chronic disease management, and other specialty services. The Medical Assistant works in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and supports patient care and clinic operations by recording patient information, preparing exam rooms, performing clinical procedures, and assisting with scheduling, follow-up, and provider charting.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of clinical work experience as a Medical Assistant.
- At least 1 year of EMR experience.
- Medical Assistant course completion diploma or CMA designation.
- High level of professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Record patient information, including vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history.
- Clean and prepare exam rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Perform medical procedures such as EKGs, PFTs, and ear lavages.
- Administer injections and draw blood.
- Assist with patient scheduling, follow-up, and provider charting as needed.
