About The Position

Quakerbridge Pediatrics is seeking a reliable, compassionate Medical Assistant for a hybrid clinical and administrative role in a busy outpatient pediatric practice. The position supports the medical team and helps afternoon office operations run smoothly while providing a welcoming, reassuring experience for children and their families. The schedule is part-time, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Duties include greeting and preparing patients, taking vital signs, summarizing medical histories, maintaining treatment rooms, assisting the medical team, handling front-desk and administrative tasks, tracking supplies, and performing basic equipment maintenance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with medical terminology and standard clinical procedures.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong speaking, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with families and children.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, adaptable, and reliable.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and meet goals.

Nice To Haves

One year of prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and families warmly.
Take vital signs and summarize medical histories for the doctor.
Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and prepared.
Assist the medical team as needed.
Answer phone calls and help patients and families.
Manage patient forms, scheduling, records, and billing.
Track medical supplies and perform basic equipment maintenance.
Provide kind, reassuring, and helpful support to children and parents throughout their visits.
Handle private medical information discreetly and comply with HIPAA requirements.
