About The Position

Patriot Urgent Care is seeking a caring, courteous, and efficient Medical Assistant (CMA/EMT) to join their team in Clinton, MD. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, competent in medical best practices, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. This role serves as a liaison between patients and medical providers, ensuring a seamless flow between examination and treatment and providing exceptional support to providers and the team. The mission is to provide the perfect patient experience: “Get in. Get out. Get better”.

Requirements

Medical Assistant (Certified, Certified Clinical, Registered, or a certificate of completion from your school is preferred, but not required)
Proof of current certification is needed if you are a CMA.
Nurse (LPN) Must provide proof of current certification.
BLS/CPR certification required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong customer service and problem-solving / communication skills.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of EMR system.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Access to reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

Two years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical intake including obtaining patient’s medical history, current medications, chief complaint, obtain vital signs and records information within EMR system.
Administer medications, dress/bandage wounds, draw blood and assist provider with any procedures in/out of exam room.
Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiograph, audiogram, peak flow, and other basic nursing functions.
Perform both DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensure preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory.
Monitor disposable inventory, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals.
Complete medical charting to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used.
Escort or transport a patient by wheelchair when appropriate.
