About The Position
Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, adaptable, caring, and team-focused Medical Assistant for its Dermatology Clinic. The Medical Assistant works within the administration's predefined scope-of-practice guidelines for the state where they practice and assists nursing staff and providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The role is part of a small, team-oriented clinic expanding into a new clinic space, with a tenured nursing team and collaboration with dermatology and plastics providers. The position offers specialized onboarding and training for in-scope tasks, an encouraging employee experience, and career advancement through educational assistance. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week on the day shift. The clinic describes a flexible daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts. Compensation is listed as $19.00–$25.50, with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
- National certification or registration as a Medical Assistant; accepted credentials include CMA, CCMA, CMAC, NCMA, or RMA through AMT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment, with recertification as required.
- For North Dakota practice, registration as an MAIII through the ND Board of Nursing is required. If not held at hire, the employee has four months to obtain it; medication administration before obtaining MAIII registration must be supervised by a licensed nurse. The employee must also be registered on the ND Board of Nursing UAP Registry if they do not hold MAIII registration at hire.
