About The Position

The Medical Assistant helps patients move smoothly from check-in to seeing the doctor by preparing them for their visit, completing basic health checks, and communicating clearly and kindly. This onsite, specialized Patient Specialist role prepares patients fully before the doctor sees them, allowing physicians to focus on medical decisions. The position includes intake and clinical rooming, EMR inbox and worklist management, patient education, and follow-up. The Medical Assistant verifies medications and allergies, documents patient history, performs validated screenings as needed, and handles patient messages, lab results, and medication-adherence follow-ups according to routing rules. The role aims to provide a same-day touch for tasks and uses the loop-back method to confirm patients understand their next steps.
