About The Position

This is a full-time Medical Assistant position in a busy Primary Care office supporting multiple providers and clinical staff. The role involves preparing patients for examinations, obtaining specimens, conducting routine laboratory and diagnostic tests, administering selected medications/injections under physician supervision, and performing related clerical duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) with current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and at least 6 months of clinical experience.
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physical examination.
• Obtain specimens.
• Conduct select routine laboratory tests and record results.
• Perform routine diagnostic tests.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Administer selected medications/injections under general physician supervision.
• Perform clerical duties related to clinic operations.
