About The Position
Pro Med Healthcare Services is currently searching for an experienced Medical Assistant with experience in an orthopedic office, both front and back. This is an amazing opportunity to join a new practice and be a part of its growth and development.
Requirements
- MA certification
- Phlebotomy Certification
- BLS
Nice To Haves
- Experience in an orthopedic office front and back
- Experience in Orthopedic Surgery or other surgical specialties
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Taking & documenting chief complaint, history of present illness
- Documenting updated meds, social history, etc.
- Assisting with flow of patients through office (into rooms, xray, etc.)
- Dressing removal/application (assisting physician and/or on own)
- Suture removal (assisting physician and/or on own)
- Assisting with injections (including preparing injections)
- Returning phone calls, answering patient questions
- Assisting with clerical, patient related paperwork
- Insurance Verification and Prior authorizations
