Pro Med Healthcare Services is currently searching for an experienced Medical Assistant with experience in an orthopedic office, front and back. This is an amazing opportunity to join a new practice and be a part of the growth and development.
Requirements
- MA certification
- Phlebotomy Certification
- BLS
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Orthopedic Surgery or other surgical specialties
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Taking & documenting chief complaint, history of present illness
- Documenting updated meds, social history, etc
- Assisting with flow of patients through office (into rooms, xray, etc)
- Dressing removal/application (assisting physician and/or on own)
- Suture removal (assisting physician and/or on own)
- Assisting with injections (including preparing injections)
- Returning phone calls, answering patient questions
- Assisting with clerical, patient related paperwork
- Insurance Verification and Prior authorizations
