About The Position
The Medical Assistant assists in implementing healthcare services and supports fellow employees in providing high-quality, personalized patient care. The role maintains positive working relationships with the healthcare team and provides individualized, direct patient care under the supervision of a physician. The position is in Family Medicine and may require work in multiple outpatient areas.
Requirements
- A medical assisting diploma, degree, or certificate is required. Other medical certificates in a related field may be considered when combined with CMA/RMA certification.
- Medical Assistant credentialing is required within 120 calendar days of hire; exceptions may be considered due to testing schedules or unforeseen circumstances.
- Active American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification is required at hire and must be maintained throughout employment. American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers is accepted at hire only.
- Knowledge and skills in good patient-care techniques, with competency maintained through continuing education.
- Ability to operate office equipment, including personal computers, fax machines, copiers, and telephones.
- Accuracy, integrity, and flexibility to work in multiple outpatient areas.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Electronic Medical Records experience.
- Previous ambulatory care medical assisting or nursing experience.
