About The Position

The Medical Assistant works in Emplify Health’s Family Medicine Clinic in Onalaska, supporting a diverse patient population and a range of healthcare needs. The role helps keep patients healthy throughout their lives by providing a welcoming experience, maintaining patient information, taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting providers with office visits and procedures. Medical Assistants also administer injections and immunizations and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and other team members to deliver patient care. This is a 1.0 FTE position scheduled for 80 hours bi-weekly. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; weekends and holidays are not required. Requirements

BLS for healthcare workers.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing, or Vocational Nurse program; or have completed education that makes the candidate eligible for NCLEX-PN; or have a high school diploma or equivalent and attained a Medical Assistant Certification.
Obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire.
