About The Position

TPG Pediatrics is looking for a FULL TIME Medical Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. We are a large pediatric practice in Northern Virginia dedicated to excellent patient care. TPG prides itself on providing work-life balance and an opportunity for growth for all of it's employees. Employee safety is a priority at TPG. We have daily cleaning procedures in place and provide PPE to include OSHA fit testing for all employees.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required
MA certification or equivalent
Competency in operating medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
Knowledge required to maintain a safe work environment.
Skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide patient care.

Nice To Haves

1 year experience preferred, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice

Responsibilities

Performs general nursing care for patients, including administration of immunizations, antibiotics, and performs treatments under the direction of the providers.
Ensures established patient medical records are updated according to practice protocol including progress notes, immunization records, and other information are in place and computer templates are used.
Greets patients and prepares them for the provider’s examination.
