About The Position

This role focuses on the Standard Operating Procedure for InBody Assessment Review & Documentation for the Medical Assistant. The purpose is to ensure systematic communication, immediate clinical review, and precise documentation of InBody assessment results to address chronic pain, deconditioning, and fall risk. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for directing InBody results to the Medical Provider for review, scanning results into the EHR, documenting pending reviews, and ensuring follow-up assessments are scheduled and tracked.

Requirements

• Ability to take physical InBody results directly to the Medical Provider for review.
• Ability to scan InBody results into the patient’s electronic health record (EHR).
• Ability to document in the Care Note that results are pending review.
• Ability to document findings using a mandatory snippet for CPT Code 97750 x 1 unit.
• Ability to ensure repeat InBody assessments are documented in the Care Plan and Care Note.
• Regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate equipment, and to talk and hear.
• Required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

• Experience with InBody assessments.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Take the physical InBody results directly to the Medical Provider for review with the patient during the current visit.
• Scan the InBody results into the patient’s electronic health record (EHR).
• Document in the Care Note that the results are pending review and must be addressed at the next visit by the Medical Provider.
• Document findings using the mandatory snippet for CPT Code 97750 x 1 unit.
• Ensure that the repeat InBody assessment (scheduled for 3 months out) is documented in both the Care Plan and the Care Note to ensure continuity of care.
