We are seeking a full-time, long-term Medical Assistant or Patient Care Assistant to join our clinic in Eagle Mountain. This role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and Saturdays. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions, both in person and through communication channels. Strong multitasking abilities are essential, along with a commitment to fostering positive relationships with patients and staff. Delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a supportive clinical environment are key expectations of this position.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a medical office is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, friendly service to all patients and co-workers, contributing to a positive and professional work environment
  • Collaborate with providers to assist in patient care and accurately document patient encounters
  • Ensure all pertinent patient information is available to the provider, including medication lists, lab results, allergies, imaging reports, and medical history
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations
  • Retrieve and organize prior records, including x-rays, office notes, and test results
  • Review messages and paperwork with providers and respond promptly and professionally as directed
  • Assist with examinations, invasive procedures, and minor surgical procedures performed by providers
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
  • Clean and sterilize rooms, equipment, and instruments before clinic hours and between patient visits
  • Document orders, referrals, and laboratory tests accurately using multiple EMRs
  • Track and document follow-up activities related to health maintenance and quality care measures
  • Manage patient messages and tasks in a timely and professional manner
  • Administer medications as ordered by the provider
  • Perform other duties as assigned
