About The Position

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the office in Greensburg. Evening availability is required to support the hours of operation. The rate and title will be determined based on education and experience. Pediatric experience and 2 years of experience are preferred. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience and 2 years of experience preferred.
• Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vitals and labs, assist with exams and procedures, document patient data, and relay care instructions.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms, maintain equipment, and manage supply inventory.
• Schedule appointments, confirm insurance, update patient records, and manage documentation.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and state health regulations; maintain confidentiality and clinical competencies.
• Support patients with mobility, specimen collection, and provide education as needed.
• Administer injections and vaccines under physician supervision, following safety protocols.
• Work with pediatric patients and their families, making a meaningful impact every day.
