About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides basic patient care and performs job-specific tasks under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed medical provider, following established policies and procedures. The role supports patients’ personal needs, comfort, and safety, as well as the needs of their families. Responsibilities include clinical, environmental, and administrative duties in designated areas. This position is in Medicine-Cardiology at Temple Faculty Practice Plan and is full-time, 40 hours per week, on days.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• Required certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as an outpatient or ambulatory Medical Assistant.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.
