About The Position

MaxHealth in Manatee County is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistants to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. The candidate for this role will perform a wide-range of medical office tasks in front/back office. This healthcare position earns a competitive wage, depending on experience. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as an MA
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
  • Computer proficient
  • Previous Experience with Medical Records

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival
  • Prepare examination and procedure rooms
  • Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients
  • Manage necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results
  • Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments
