About The Position

Bethel Family Clinic employs Medical Assistants, or M.A.s, to assist the medical provider in the care and treatment of the patients. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the medical providers in patient care, clerical needs, environmental, and organizational tasks.

Requirements

High School diploma is required.
Successful completion of a post-high school training in vocational and other training school is required.
At least 2 years of family practice experience as a MA
X-ray certification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organizational skills
Medical terminology knowledge
Knowledge of safety and sanitation
Computer skills
Customer service skills.
Employee must have the legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic health records data entry.

Responsibilities

Record patient history and personal information.
Measure vital signs, such as blood pressure.
Help providers with patient examinations.
Schedule patient appointments.
Prepare blood samples for laboratory tests.
Enter patient information into medical records.
Take and record patients’ personal information, keeping it confidential and discussing it only with other medical personnel who are involved in treating the patient.
Help patients to move around the facility, by doing such tasks as pushing wheelchairs
Clean equipment and facilities
Change linens
Maintain and stock supplies.
