About The Position

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients. Consistently demonstrates customer service expectations as outlined in the Dignity Health Medical Foundation audit tools. Consistently makes eye contact and smiles. Demonstrates active listening with positive can do attitude. Consistently respectful, concerned, and shows empathy. Uses scripted greeting. "Thank you for choosing Dominican Med Found this is (your name) how can I help you" Uses scripted closing at every interaction. "Is there anything else I can do for you" Over the phone and as patients leave the clinic.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or High School GED
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program (determination by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professions.)

Nice To Haves

  • BLS-American Heart Association
  • Six (6) months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant
  • Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Certified Medical Assistant NHA, or National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, or National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, or Registered Medical Assistant AMT, or Registered Medical Assistant, or Cert Med Asst - MMCI

Responsibilities
