About The Position
The Medical Assistant assists physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. The role is responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management, and provides patients with information so they can fully use and benefit from clinic services. The Medical Assistant conveys a positive image of the organization. Coshocton Regional Medical Center is a 56-bed, not-for-profit hospital serving East Central Ohio. It provides 24-hour emergency and acute care services, including a network of hospital-based physician clinics. The hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain and Heart Failure Center and has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The medical center is part of the Prime Healthcare Foundation and emphasizes quality, compassion, and community.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum one year of work experience in a public-contact job.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification or higher-level certification/licensure preferred.
- Work experience in health care preferred.
