About The Position
Jefferson Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice, is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide support to patients preparing for radiology examinations, including Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures. The role involves meeting with patients to verify their histories and discuss examination and procedure protocols, assisting with IR procedures, and assisting with MRI and CT examinations. The position is based on-site in Enfield, Connecticut.
Requirements
- Current CPR (BLS) certification is required.
- At least 2 years of prior medical office experience.
- For MRI and CT examinations, demonstrate an understanding of MRI and CT procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or EMT qualification preferred.
- For Interventional Radiology procedures, surgical office or hospital setting experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance to patients preparing for radiology examinations, including Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Meet with patients to verify their histories and discuss protocols for examinations and procedures.
- Assist with Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Assist with MRI and CT examinations.
