The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides high-quality clinical and patient care support to physicians and advanced practice providers in a clinical setting. The CMA is responsible for efficiently rooming patients, obtaining and documenting accurate patient information and vital signs, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers with clinical needs, performing approved clinical and laboratory services, and supporting an excellent patient experience. This position interacts directly with patients throughout the day and plays an essential role in maintaining an efficient patient flow and ensuring patients are appropriately prepared for their visit with the provider. The CMA is expected to demonstrate professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, attention to detail, and adherence to established clinical, safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.
