About The Position

Medical Assistants (MA) assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.

Requirements

High School or Equivalent
American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
Has attended an accredited Medical Assistant training program by one of the following: The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
Has a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following: National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), American Medical Technologist (RMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
Has completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States
Able to distinguish appropriate colors
Ability to work above or below shoulder level
Ability to lift to 50 pounds
Ability to walk or be on feet 90% of the day
Routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances.

Nice To Haves

If your Medical Assistant training program was not approved by one of the above agencies, we will assist you in obtaining a CCMA certification.
