About The Position

Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Clinic in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Rheumatology department. This is a full-time, day shift position. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for patient rooming, including intake, vital signs, and assisting with treatments and procedures. They will also manage phone communications, maintain patient records, assist with supply inventory, and ensure treatment rooms are prepared and clean. Basic clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, and general office support are also part of the role.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
At least one year of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting.
Demonstrated experience with patient rooming procedures.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

Proficiency in patient rooming protocols, conduct patient intake, measure vital signs, and assist the care team with treatments and procedures as directed.
Manage phone communications, maintain patient records, and assist with supply inventory, ordering, and stocking.
Ensure treatment rooms are prepared for examinations and the clinical area is clean and well-organized.
Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, filling, and provide general office and clerical support to the assigned area.
