Requirements

Medical Assistant training or relevant clinical experience required
Comfortable using computers and basic office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification/registration preferred
Pediatric medical office experience is strongly preferred
Spanish-speaking preferred
Experience with electronic medical records (eCW/eClinicalWorks preferred)

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and families with warmth, compassion, and professionalism
Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and properly stocked
Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, and other age-appropriate measurements
Review and update medications, allergies, medical history, and other relevant patient information
Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record
Provide families with appropriate forms, instructions, and educational materials as directed by providers
Assist with prescription, referral, laboratory, and follow-up workflows as directed
Communicate effectively with providers, front desk staff, and other clinical team members to maintain efficient patient flow
Clean and disinfect exam rooms and clinical equipment between patients
Monitor clinical inventory and notify appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered
Perform additional clinical and administrative duties to support daily office operations
