Requirements

  • Medical Assistant training or relevant clinical experience required
  • Comfortable using computers and basic office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification/registration preferred
  • Pediatric medical office experience is strongly preferred
  • Spanish-speaking preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (eCW/eClinicalWorks preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and families with warmth, compassion, and professionalism
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, and other age-appropriate measurements
  • Review and update medications, allergies, medical history, and other relevant patient information
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
  • Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Provide families with appropriate forms, instructions, and educational materials as directed by providers
  • Assist with prescription, referral, laboratory, and follow-up workflows as directed
  • Communicate effectively with providers, front desk staff, and other clinical team members to maintain efficient patient flow
  • Clean and disinfect exam rooms and clinical equipment between patients
  • Monitor clinical inventory and notify appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered
  • Perform additional clinical and administrative duties to support daily office operations
