Medical Assistant- West Bradenton
About The Position
MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant at its Cortez Road West location in Bradenton. The Medical Assistant performs a range of front- and back-office duties to support patient care, prepare rooms, assist physicians, and complete administrative tasks. The role involves welcoming and triaging patients, preparing them for physician visits, and helping provide focused, empathetic care. The starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with compensation depending on experience. A $500 sign-on bonus is paid after the first 30 days. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Computer literacy and proficiency, including experience using an EMR/EHR.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Some phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Previous experience with medical records.
Responsibilities
- Greet and triage patients upon arrival.
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, height, and weight measurements.
- Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
- Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
- Perform a range of front- and back-office medical office tasks.
