About The Position
Centurion is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to join their team at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle, Indiana. This role provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction. The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab tests, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Responsibilities also include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification
- Minimum of 6 months Lab Experience
- Current CPR
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred
