About The Position
q-Health Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant with Family Practice / Primary Care or Internal Medicine experience to work with a single physician in Dickinson, Texas. This opportunity is well suited for a Medical Assistant who is an empathetic, active listener with good communication skills and who has front desk experience.
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice/primary care office
- Current CPR certificate
Nice To Haves
- Experience with lab draws, injections, EKG, Pap smears, ear irrigation, HMO referrals, and prior authorizations for medication and imaging
- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant
- Spanish fluency
Responsibilities
- Check in patients
- Obtain insurance cards, copays and outstanding balances
- Assist patients with registration forms
- Check patients out
- Send patient prescriptions, labs, and imaging orders
