About The Position
The Medical Assistant provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services in a clinic setting under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician and nurse. The role performs routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health. This is a temporary position eligible for benefits and may be converted to a permanent position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program.
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant by a recognized certifying organization, or eligible to sit for the exam within 30 days of hire. Accepted certifications are CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMT, and AAMA ABROE.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Bilingual in Spanish.
