Medical Assistant
About The Position
Grace Community Care & Homes is developing its Medical and Preventive Care department and seeks a Medical Assistant. The role will contribute to person-centered services, reliable operations and accurate documentation. This is a planned role. Start date and duties are contingent on applicable program approvals, funding, credentialing and staffing readiness. Services may begin only within the approved scope. Location and schedule New Jersey, with administrative coordination through Grace and on-site or community assignments as applicable. Part-time; assignment and weekly schedule discussed during hiring. Clinical services begin only at approved locations and within authorized scope.
Requirements
- Medical-assisting training and experience
- Perform only tasks permitted by NJ rules and supervising clinicians
- Applicants should provide relevant credentials, experience, availability and a resume
- Final regulatory eligibility will be verified before appointment or service delivery

Responsibilities
- Support rooming, histories, vital signs, scheduling, supplies and permitted clinical tasks under supervision
- Maintain infection prevention and accurate records
- Work collaboratively with department leadership, intake, credentialing, billing and quality teams
- Maintain confidentiality, respect participant choice, communicate service gaps promptly, and follow role-specific policies and professional scope
- Participate in orientation, competency review and quality improvement
