About The Position
Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Wauwatosa Ambulatory Center in the AMG Primary Care department. This is a full-time position with day shifts, Monday through Friday. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties. They will also interview patients to record medical history and measure vital signs, prepare and sanitize treatment rooms, and manage essential clerical tasks such as phone correspondence and record maintenance.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
- Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
- Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
- Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
