About The Position

Acts as a collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Responsible for registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and answering of telephone. Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens. Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient, and family. Returns patient phone calls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant
• Minimum of one year clinic experience in clinic setting

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Typing, word processing, computer, and telephone skills preferred
• Experience with GPMS/EMR is desired
• BCLS must be received within the orientation period
