About The Position

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for an outpatient role on the day shift. Under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife, the Medical Assistant performs non-invasive, routine technical support services. The position supports clinic operations by preparing exam rooms, checking in patients, maintaining patient recall and continuity-of-care records, obtaining vital signs, reporting significant findings and observations to the clinic physician, and performing audiometry and vision testing. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education, GED, or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or a CHDP certificate.
• Phlebotomy certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
• Maintain a patient recall system, including a continuity-of-care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
• Obtain vital signs and report significant findings and pertinent patient observations to the clinic physician.
• Perform audiometry and vision testing.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
