About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a Part-Time Credentialed Medical Assistant (24-30 Hours per week) in our thriving Foot & Ankle Clinic in North Portland. Your role is crucial in ensuring patients receive the highest value care tailored to their needs by providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Limited X-ray license certification is required. (LMXO)
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty Care Podiatry experience is a strong plus!
• Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is preferred but not required.
• ACLS may be required by specialty.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred.
• EPIC experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
• Assisting with procedures and performing specialty-related tests/monitoring.
• Scheduling appointments for new and established patients as needed.
• Performing Limited X-ray (Podiatry) duties.
• Updating records as needed.
• Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
• Other duties as assigned.
