About The Position
Full-time Medical Assistant for a busy family practice clinic in Edmond. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends or major holidays. The Medical Assistant supports the physician and provides clinical patient care, including rooming patients, collecting health histories, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections, performing EKGs, handling patient calls, explaining lab results, and e-scribing prescriptions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience filing prescriptions online.
- Knowledge of medications and dosage calculations.
Nice To Haves
- Medical assistant certification.
- Phlebotomist certification.
- Family practice experience; preferred but not required.
- Experience with X-rays and laboratory testing.
- Experience with electronic health records, preferably Epic.
Responsibilities
- Room patients.
- Obtain health histories.
- Take vital signs, draw blood, administer injections, and perform EKGs.
- Take patient calls and explain lab results to patients.
- E-scribe prescriptions.
- Assist the physician with patient examinations, evaluations, procedures, and all aspects of clinical patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
