The Medical Assistant will effectively and professionally communicate via telephone, written and web-based interactions with patients. This role involves scheduling patients, answering calls, completing initial patient processing including vital signs and initial assessments, checking clinical results, providing therapeutic patient education, assisting physicians or nurse practitioners, dispensing supplies or medications, administering injections, following OSHA guidelines, assisting with prior authorizations and insurance correspondence, acting as a liaison with outside providers and facilities, and maintaining accurate records. The position also requires adherence to all policies, laws, regulations, ethics, and confidentiality guidelines.
