About The Position

EPIC Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide hands-on, face-to-face care for patients at its Royal Oak location. The Medical Assistant is an essential member of the care team, helping create a welcoming patient experience, support clinical procedures and diagnostics, document patient information, coordinate follow-up care, and contribute to team and process improvement efforts. The schedule is four days per week, 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Background checks are required.

Requirements

• Experience as a Medical Assistant, coursework in the field, or willingness to gain hands-on patient-care experience.
• Previous phlebotomy experience.
• Care about making a difference in community health.

• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and create a welcoming environment.
• Measure and record vital signs in the EHR.
• Document patients’ symptoms and medical histories.
• Perform injections, vaccinations, and other treatments.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Collect blood and urine samples.
• Schedule future appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
• Participate in process-improvement initiatives and support the team as needed.
