About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) - Cardiovascular Rapid Care Center position is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with hours typically Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm, and rotating weekends. The role involves greeting patients, escorting them to exam rooms, documenting vital signs, allergies, medications, and the reason for the visit. The MA will also provide front office support and perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight. Phlebotomy and injections may also be required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
  • CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
  • One year of work experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
  • Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
  • previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
  • On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and escort them to exam room
