About The Position

Colorado Physician Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and customer service in its Westmed Family Medicine practice. The Medical Assistant collaborates with Clinical services staff to provide patient services and help create a welcoming environment that fosters patient comfort and trust. The role includes preparing for appointments, maintaining exam rooms, screening and preparing patients, assisting with examinations, and keeping supplies and work areas organized. Applications are open until the position is filled and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current, valid Medical Assistant certification.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and accurately document information; high degree of diplomacy and tact.
• Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
• Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions and adherence to HIPAA standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages.
• Valid state driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and update patient records before in-person or Telehealth appointments, ensuring recent test results and correspondence are current.
• Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits in accordance with infection control standards.
• Prepare patients for visits and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen.
• Greet patients, take vital signs, and accurately document basic medical history.
• Assist physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep work areas clean and orderly.
