About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Center For Hematology & Oncology. This is a full-time position with a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000. The Medical Assistant works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and office manager and is responsible for assisting the physicians in the practice. This role involves assisting in the examination and treatment of patients, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording information on patient charts, and drawing and collecting blood samples for laboratory analysis.

Requirements

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
• Emergency Medical Technician.
• Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Registered Medical Assistant.
• Basic Life Support.
• Must have at least one of the above required licenses/certifications (MA, CNA, LPN, EMT).
• BLS required for all.
• CNA, LPN, EMT license must be from Florida.
• Must be professional, organized, and a detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
• Possesses compassionate demeanor and high ethical standards.
• HIPAA/OSHA compliance required.
• Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, co-workers and practice manager.
• Minimum Required Experience: 1 year MA experience strongly preferred.
• BLS required.

• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physicians in the practice.
• Assisting in examination and treatment of patients.
