About The Position

This is a benefited, full-time position scheduled for 80 hours every two weeks, with 8-hour shifts on varied days. Shifts may be scheduled anytime between 6:40 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., while weekend and holiday shifts are typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Availability to work every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and holidays is required. Requirements

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
  • BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year MA experience in an outpatient setting
  • Pediatric experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
  • Perform patient care services that support the providers and clinic
  • Front Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outs
  • Clinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, Covid swabbing, and providing patient education
  • Wide variety of acute care patients
  • Patient volumes of 25 and up per day (sometimes as high as 50)
