About The Position

Colorado Physician Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant for Arbor Family Medicine in Thornton. The Medical Assistant works with Clinical services staff to provide patient care and customer service, helping create a welcoming environment that supports patient comfort and trust. The role includes preparing for in-person and Telehealth visits, screening and preparing patients, assisting providers during examinations, and maintaining clean, stocked, orderly clinical areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current, valid Medical Assistant certification.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and accurately document information.
• High degree of diplomacy and tact.
• Beginner to intermediate computer and phone skills.
• Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train in other departments.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions and adherence to HIPAA standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages.
• Valid state driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and update patient records before in-person or Telehealth appointments, ensuring recent test results and correspondence are current.
• Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits in accordance with infection control standards.
• Prepare patients for visits and notify the physician or mid-level provider when patients are ready.
• Greet patients, take vital signs, and accurately document basic medical histories.
• Assist physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep work areas clean and orderly.
