About The Position
The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled individual who supports the non-clinical and clinical functions of a service area in a healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant works within the scope of medical assistant practice and under the direction and continuous supervision of a licensed healthcare provider (MD, NP, RN, or LPN) while performing uncomplicated clinical services and tasks. The position reports to department leadership.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program or a recognized medical assistant certification.
- CPR training is required or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
- Must provide a record of a completed diploma or equivalent, or an academic transcript, for areas performing complexity testing.
Nice To Haves
- Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Military medical experience.
- One to two years of experience in a related healthcare field.
