About The Position

The Medical Assistant - Float supports Ascentist Healthcare clinics across locations in Kansas and Missouri, floating among Endocrinology, Pulmonology, and Sleep Medicine departments to provide coverage as needed. The role works alongside different providers and care teams, helping maintain a professional and efficient clinical environment and supporting high-quality patient care and positive outcomes. The position is based at Tudor Square, Mission Farms, and Leawood. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours varying between 7:00 am–3:30 pm and 7:30 am–4:00 pm.

Requirements

• At least one year of substantially similar work experience in a medical setting, performing substantially similar Medical Assistant essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for visits.
• Collect and document medical history and vital signs.
• Prepare charts and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist providers during in-office procedures.
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms ahead of treatments.
• Submit prior authorizations as needed.
• Support clinic operations and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Collaborate with staff and providers using strong communication and teamwork skills.
