About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide care in its dermatology practice in New Smyrna, Florida. The Medical Assistant evaluates skin conditions, updates and records patient medical information and symptoms, explains treatments, conducts non-intrusive medical surgeries, educates patients on preventive skin care, and screens patients and employees upon entry. Requirements

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• All applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within four weeks of employment.
• At least one year of dermatology experience is preferred.
• A certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ skin conditions.
• Assess and update patients’ medical histories.
• Maintain records of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyze information about patients’ skin health conditions.
• Inform patients about proper and available treatments.
• Conduct non-intrusive medical surgeries.

• Screen patients and employees daily upon entry.
