About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Heart and Vascular department at the Franklin Medical Office Building in Franklin, WI. This is a full-time, day shift position. The role involves assisting with physician-ordered treatments under supervision, performing clinical duties, interviewing patients, recording vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, performing basic clerical duties, and managing supplies. The position requires flexibility for coverage in the Wauwatosa, Brookfield, and Milwaukee areas, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Cardiology experience preferred
CMA certification preferred or prior MA experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
Perform select clinical duties.
Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
