About The Position

Westlake Dermatology is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support a provider at its Marble Falls location. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. The role involves assisting with patient care and cosmetic procedures, preparing and turning over exam rooms, documenting in the EHR, managing the appointment schedule, and ensuring procedure supplies are available. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, customer service, communication, and multitasking skills. Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience is preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma plus completion of either a college degree or a Medical Assistant program.
Excellent communication skills.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
Well-organized with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Empathy for patient needs and concerns.
Knowledge of medical and skin care terminology.
Proficiency with general computer skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification.
One to two years of prior experience in a dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic setting as a medical assistant or clinical assistant.
Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience.
Prior EHR (EMA) experience.

Responsibilities

Obtain patient histories, chief complaints, and consents.
Assist the provider with cosmetic procedures, including Botox and fillers.
Prepare exam rooms and escort patients to rooms.
Prepare patients for the provider.
Educate patients about aftercare protocols and what to expect after treatment.
Complete EHR charting.
Stock rooms and turn over rooms between patients.
Review and manage the schedule to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately.
Ensure supplies needed for procedures are available.
Work with the provider and anticipate needs related to patient treatment.
