About The Position

A Medical Assistant is responsible for skilled delivery of patient care and procedures, including administering medication, immunization-related work, point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, patient triage, and direct patient care. The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment, and efficiency using electronic medical records (EMR). Additional clinical tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment.
• Efficiency using electronic medical records (EMR).

Nice To Haves

• RMA or CMA certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and perform clinical procedures.
• Administer medication.
