This role is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, and assisting physicians with exams. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants OR Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces OR Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification (Upon hire for Associate Medical Assistant, Within 60 days of hire for Medical Assistant Registered)
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Within 30 days of hire)
  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months for Associate Medical Assistant)
  • 6 months Healthcare experience (for Medical Assistant Registered and Medical Assistant)
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience (for Medical Assistant Registered and Medical Assistant)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment (6 months for Associate Medical Assistant)
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR) (6 months for Associate Medical Assistant)
  • Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk (for Medical Assistant Registered)

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining patient records
