About The Position

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (e.g., CMA, RMA).
Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures.
Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a clinical setting.
Experience with specific EHR systems used by the practice.
Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish).

Responsibilities

Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare providers.
Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
Take vital signs, record patient history, and prepare patients for examinations.
Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
Sterilize and maintain medical equipment.
Assist with inventory management of medical supplies.
